For the Parents
Dear Parents,
On behalf of our Lighthouse family we are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure all children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful, children need mutually enhancing support from both the home and school. A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. Please give us your input as often as you wish. Constructive criticism is a necessary part of the journey.
We will officially request at least 2 meetings with you throughout the year, or more if this becomes necessary.

Safety First
The safety of our students is of utmost importance to us here at the Lighthouse. Parents can have peace of mind knowing that their children are kept as safe as possible during the time they are with us. The following precautions are taken on a daily basis and have strict protocols that must be adhered to by all members of staff.
Arriving on time
Students are requested to be in school at least 10 minutes prior to the lessons. Some delays are inevitable. But consistent lateness is unfair to the child who misses relevant learning, the teacher who needs to repeat and the others who are disrupted.
Bus service is also provided, running daily from a central location in Limassol in the morning and vice versa after the lessons are finished in the afternoon. Bus route is under 15 minutes long.
Dress Code
We are all unique, Lighthouse believes in freedom of choice so no official uniform is set. Students are free to dress in whatever makes them happy and comfortable, as long as clothing is not a hinderance or scanty. We do advise spare clothes for the younger children in case of life's little accidents.
Holidays & Absence
Our policy in this regard is available along with all school policies upon request or registration. Absences of 1-2 days do not generally require medical justification. However, pro-longed absenteeism will need to be addressed and resolved as this can create many issues.
Food and Snacks
As we do not have an inbuilding vendor or shop, students are requested to bring their own food and snacks from home.
The school policy is strictly against unhealthy and sugary food so please avoid packing soft drinks, candies, crisps, etc.
We always strive to educate and help children to eat better - as they say, "Healthy body: Healthy Mind"
